Anthony Clatterbuck is a 4th generation carpenter. His lifelong career in the construction industry started when he was just 13 years old working with his father, Guy Clatterbuck, Sr. Anthony worked his way through the ranks for various homebuilders until realizing his dream of becoming a homebuilder.
He founded Ace Carpentry, Inc, a residential frame and trim carpentry subcontractor, in 1983 with two of his lifelong friends, Kenneth Shifflett and Gary Long. His wife, Linda, was instrumental in the success of the company – running payroll, purchasing, and many other duties. By 2004, Ace Carpentry had become one of the largest trim and frame subcontractors in the Washington Metropolitan area.
After being approached by customers with the request that Ace build homes for them, he formed Graystone Homes, Inc. in 1989. Graystone became a custom homebuilding company known for their attention to detail, superior craftsmanship and flexibility.
As Graystone Homes continued to grow and develop they were perceived as a custom homebuilder catering only to the higher end market. Anthony knew that he was capable of building in the moderately priced market, but misconception of Graystone Homes was keeping potential customers from contacting him. In 1995, Westwood Homes, LLC was formed in order to satisfy the demand for high-quality construction at a lower cost. Though they are the same company, the public perception is different.

Vice President of Operations
David is Anthony's right hand man. He works tirelessly behind the scenes to provide estimates and design support. [coming soon]
Accounting & HR
Whitney is both accounting and human resources. She manages our day-to-day financial matters, accounts payable & receivable, handles payroll, manages our insurance and 401k programs and coordinates with lenders and customers for draws.
Ray is our most recent superintendent addition, but don't let that fool you! He has plenty of experience in the construction industry. He moved from California to Virginia in 2021 to be closer to his grandkids and we're thrilled to have him!
Conrad is in charge of our purchasing. He negotiates with vendors to get the best prices possible and purchases our materials.
JT is a skilled equipment operator who provides the fine grading for our jobs and manual support for all of our super intendents. He takes care of the small details that make a project truly "finished." From delivering materials to odd jobs, JT is our "boots on the ground" guy.
Stephanie is Anthony's oldest daughter and assitant. She provides information management support including facilitating communication between the Graystone Team and customers. She maintains Anthony's schedule. She is also head of marketing and maintains and our social media and web presence.
Tony is the "eyes and ears" of the field. He is a 3rd generation carpenter that has been with us since 1996. His background is in residential construction with an emphasis on green building. Tony's energy, knowledge and enthusiasm help drive the field.
Linda is Anthony's wife and has been instrumental in the success of the company. She has been the accounting department, purchasing and is currently the selections agent. She works closely with the customers during the selections process to ensure that even the smallest details are taken care of.
Armon has been with us since 1994. Over the course of the 20+ years that he has worked for us he has supervised the construction of hundreds of homes.
