Hardwood
flooring and well
It's been two weeks since
the appliances arrived. The well is finally finished. See the
drilling rig through the dining room window? December is here and
with it came the hardwood flooring, the well, the interior doors
and another coat of paint. We were so happy when the well came in
at just over 275 feet and 15 gallons per minute. We were worried
because the Lathes, our neighbors, well came in at over 700 feet.
We were lucky! The paint and flooring look great.
The
kitchen cabinets
It's Dec. 3, 2005 and our
kitchen cabinets, island and countertop are in. We really made
some good selections. Thank you Beverly and Jeanette for your
help! We upgraded the cabinets to cherry wood.. The countertop
color was really tough to select. When this started, if somebody
had told us that the hardest part of the whole thing was some of
the selections we had to make we wouldn't have belived them. It's
true. So many choices. It's really great to have choices though!
So many builders will give you two or three things to choose from.
Not Graystone. Lots of choices here.
The
kitchen pendants
It's Dec. 11th and it
looks like all of the electrical in the house is finished. The
kitchen pendant and recessed lighting is in. All of the GFCI
outlets are in and so is the eyeball light over the mantle. Our
house is almost done. We don't think it'll be done by Christmas,
but not too long after the new year.
