The roof
is almost done
By the next week, our
homes roof was up with tar paper waiting for shingles. The windows
are installed. The staircases have been installed. We have doors
all the way around the house. It's so fun coming out here because
in almost every visit there is something new to see.
The roof
is finished
The next Sunday when we
arrived on our lot the shingles were stacked on top of the roof.
It didn't look like much work had been done since our last visit
(a few days earlier). We'd been told there would be lulls in the
work schedule, for one reason or another, but we were still
feeling a little disappointed. We'd come to expect seeing big
changes every visit. Well we went and said "Hi" to our wonderful
new neighbors "The Lathes" and then left for an hour or two to
shop in town. As if Graystone could hear our thoughts...when we'd
returned the roof was finished.
The
electrical walk
It's Oct. 14th and today
is the day for our electrical walk. During the selection process
we chose what lighting we wanted inside and out. Now we get to
walk through the house with our selection coordinator Beverly, the
site foreman Lloyd, and the electrical contractor. Today we choose
what type of electrical outlets, switches, telephone/tv outlets we
want and where they should go. We're having a blast!
